Rabbits are companion animals, just like cats and dogs, and with the help of so many bunny lovers, we've done it! We purchased a building and moved in to our new Shelter!
The LARGER GHRS Shelter allows us to house more bunnies while they wait for their forever homes, expand the medical area for bunnies who require observation and medication, and gives us more space for boarding for our expanding community of bunny families.

APPLE BRANCHES ARE HERE
Thank you to our incredible volunteer leads Ed and Eduardo as well as all the volunteers that came out to help them! We gathered 47 crates of apple branches. They are available now in our Hop Shop for $5.50 per handful!

SHELTER CLEAN UP DAY - FEB 1
To kick off International Adopt a Rabbit Month and to prep for our 30th anniversary Open House, our quarterly cleaning day is BACK!
We are asking for 20 volunteers to join us on Sunday February 1st from 9am-1pm to deep clean the shelter!

We would like to clean the floors, baseboards, blinds, and enclosures, brush out all the buns, and more. All the things that we don’t have time for on a regular basis during shelter hours. We know it’s not a fun job, but it does come with some fuzzy perks to hang out with afterwards!

What's a HOPTIMIST, you ask? A Hoptimist is a person who believes in the success of rabbit rescue. We've taken in over 40 rabbits in the last month, but we're always hoptimistic that we ARE making a difference to each and every bun who comes through our doors and we WILL do everything we can to help them and those who come after them.
