The veterinarians listed on our web site have either been veterinarians we have used for our shelter bunnies, are listed as exotic vets, or have been recommended to us by individuals from personal experience. Even so, it is important that you interview a vet you are interested in to see if they are the right one for you and your rabbit. The Georgia House Rabbit Society is not to be held responsible for any less than positive outcome that results from using a veterinarian listed on our web site. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with and take note of the rabbit knowledgeable vets in your area before an emergency arises so that you know your options and can take action immediately.

Needing to spay or neuter your rabbit? One of our local rabbit friendly vets, Dr Colby DVM at the Windward Animal Hospital, has introduced a low cost spay and neuter program especially for bunnies! EMERGENCY CLINICS
Sometimes emergencies arise in the middle of the night or on weekends when your usual veterinarian might be unavailable. Below are links to area emergency clinics. Please note that these hospitals may or may not be familiar with rabbit care. The cost is traditionally higher than a regular veterinarian as well. For routine visits and emergencies during usual office hours, we recommend you visit a vet with experience in rabbit care. If you believe your rabbit needs immediate medical attention during late night hours or on holidays, the clinics below might be a valuable resource!
